TELEVISION presenter Paul Danan was in Epping today (Wednesday) trying to get people to take part in a new BBC television show.
The former Hollyoaks actor handed out leaflets on the High Street to passers-by urging them to call his 'help line'.
Members of the public will be able to telephone Paul throughout the day on Friday (October 10) when he will be assisting the callers with problems such as losing the remote control or choosing an outfit to wear.
Speaking to the Guardian, he said: "People phone emergency services and there's a lot of time wasted because it's not important, they could be going to more important situations. So I've decided to basically help people and go round to their houses whatever problems they've got - relationships, they need a bit of help with cooking food or they just want to have a chat or anything. Even if they need their boiler fixed I will come round."
The Celebrity Love Island contestant will be offering his service from 6am until midnight the same day.
He said: "I will go round their house or wherever they want to meet and I will help them with their situation."
Asked if he was qualified to fix a boiler he said: "I'm very, very qualified. I've done training and everything and I love kids and I love people and I'm a lovable huggable type of guy. And I love women."
Paul is taking part in the pilot programme for the new entertainment show which will be screened on BBC3.
If you have a problem or crisis for Paul to help you out with call him directly on Friday on 07717 521826.
