GOLFERS will be making a fool of themselves to raise money for charity, by wearing their pants over their trousers.

Driving range operator TopGolf is staging a 'grand slam' at it's Chigwell centre on Abridge Road on June 25 to raise money for the Everyman Male Cancer Campaign.

Golfers will compete against the clock from 7pm to 9pm and £5 of their £10 entrance fee will be donated to the charity, which raises awareness and funds research into testicular and prostate cancer.

But the entire entry fee will be donated if golfers wear their pants or boxer shorts over their trousers on the night.

The highest scoring player will win a Mercedes-Benz driving experience at the Brooklands race track, followed by a meal and overnight stay in a luxury hotel.

TopGolf Chigwell General Manager James Jenkins said: "We're delighted to be supporting the Everyman campaign this month. We're sure the TopGolfers in Chigwell will join in with the fun and help raise cash for this vital cause."

The event is part of Everyman Male Cancer Awareness Month, and TopGolf will also donate 5p to the charity for every game purchased throughout June.
