ABRIDGE: Bradley Walsh opens garden centre cafe

CELEBRITY actor Bradley Walsh showed his support for a garden centre by turning up to declare its new café open.

The Law and Order actor, who lives in Abridge, managed to find some time in his busy schedule to cut the ribbon at Patch Park garden centre in Abridge.

Speaking to the Guardian after the opening he said: "The garden centre is a fantastic idea and I think it will be a massive success.

"There are garden centres in Chigwell but there's not one this side so it's necessary for this area.

"It was a shame when they shut it down and myself and many of my neighbours are really happy that it's re-opened, especially now it has a café. You can sit and have a tea and cake and look around the shop."

Mr Walsh is currently presenting new television quiz show The Chase on ITV1 where contestants compete to win a prize worth thousands of pounds.

He said: "It's on at 5pm everyday and contestants have to answer general knowledge questions against a quiz genius who is there to try and stop them winning.

"I'm also just about to make a new series of Law and Order."
