POLICE have released details of fights, underage drinking, and sexual assaults said to have occurred at a late-night bar.
Minx, in Loughton High Road, is due to have its licence reviewed tomorrow (February 4), after Essex Police claimed 31 criminal incidents have been linked to it since September 2008.
The police report into the bar has now been made public and includes details of multiple affrays, an incident of GBH and two sexual assaults.
Among the incidents recorded, on October 3, last year, a man needed eight stitches after he was knocked unconscious as he tried to steer someone away from a disturbance.
On the same day another victim was punched in the face and later had to undergo a CAT scan in hospital.
On August 9 last year, a woman was sexually assaulted when a man put his hand up her skirt.
The suspect is also said to have assaulted another man by striking him about the head, arms and legs with a wooden stick.
In the second alleged sexual assault, on September 27, 2008, a woman claimed her drink had been spiked before she was assaulted by a man.
Two assaults linked to Minx are said to have involved underage girls.
On January 30, last year, a 16-year-old girl collapsed outside the premises after she was assaulted. She was later taken to hospital.
Later that year, on April 18, a 16-year-old girl attended Loughton police station in a heavily intoxicated state where she claimed she had been repeatedly punched and kicked to the ground in Minx.
The incidents at the bar are said to have continued throughout the year and, in a racially motivated assault on Christmas Eve, a man is said to have received a bloody nose after he was assaulted by a youth in a group outside Minx who shouted “P*** bashing”.
Later that evening a member of the door staff at Minx was struck in the face with a baton causing swelling to his left cheek.
Epping Forest District Council is due to examine Minx's licence tomorrow at the Civic Offices in Epping High Street at 10am.
