LEISURE centres across the district are set to benefit from a near £1million cash injection.
Epping Forest District Council is recommending £800,000 be spent at Loughton Leisure Centre, in Traps Hill, to create a new movement studio, and extended fitness suite.
Officers are also recommending £130,000 be spent on new equipment at Epping and Ongar Leisure centres.
The council estimates it will recoup the money through a reduction of £150,000 a year in management costs negotiated as part of a potential three-year-contract extension to existing managers SLM.
The proposals will be discussed at full council on Tuesday, February 16.
