FOUR men have been charged in relation to a mass brawl at a new Year's Eve party.
The suspects are all said to have been involved in the disturbance at the Football Academy, in Langston Road, Loughton on New Year's Eve 2008.
During the venue's Summer of Love party, one man was shot, and a bouncer was repeatedly stabbed losing the sight in one eye. More than 600 people had to be dispersed by police.
A 24-year-old man from Canning Town, east London has been charged with violent disorder while a 49-year-old man from Sevenoaks in Kent and a 37-year-old man and 50-year-old man from Chingford, east London have been charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon.
All four have been released on police bail to appear at Harlow Magistrates Court, on March 31.
Police have said they will release the men's names one day before their court appearance.
