LOUGHTON: Paedophile due to be sentenced today

12:08pm Tuesday 16th March 2010

A PAEDOPHILE who admitted making around 600,000 indecent images of children is due to be sentenced this afternoon.

Paul Elliott, 50, produced the pornographic images during a two year period between 2006 and 2008 when he lived in Loughton.

His case is thought to involve the largest ever seizure of indecent images by Essex Police in its history.

Elliott pleaded guilty at a hearing last month to ten counts of producing photographs or pseudo images of children.

He pleaded not guilty to an eleventh charge, which a judge ruled should lie on file.

Elliott, who has since moved to Stewkley Road in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, is due to be sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court at 2pm.
