A TALENTED trombone player from Ongar will perform in the town next week.
Matthew Lewis was the runner-up in this year's Essex Young Musician of the Year competition and was the principal trombonist for the European Union Youth Orchestra last year.
He will take time out from his studies at the Royal College of Music play at the Ongar Music Club's AGM on Friday, September 17 at Budworth Hall in the High Street at 8pm.
The performance, which will be accompanied by Jennifer Hughes on the piano, will include pieces by Strauss and Borgeois.
Tickets, costing £5, are available on the door.
