POLICE are appealing for witnesses after burglars stole family heirlooms from a woman’s home.
The woman returned to her home in Sedley Rise, Loughton, after visiting relatives last Tuesday (January 24) to find a man and a woman taking jewellery that had been in her family for 90 years.
She tried to stop them, but they ran off down Church Hill towards the junction with Marjorams Avenue.
The pair were both white and in their early 20s and the man is described as being stocky and wearing a black jacket, while the woman was wearing a hoodie.
Witnesses should call detectives at Loughton police station on 101.
