THREE people were taken to hospital after a crash on a notorious stretch of road yesterday (Thursday).
Paramedics attended the three-vehicle smash along the B194 Crooked Mile in Waltham Abbey at about 7am and treated the injured people at the roadside before taking them to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow.
Dozens of accidents, two of which were fatal, took place on the busy road last year, leading residents to put pressure on authorities to improve safety.
The county council has promised to add road markings and warning signs, resurface parts of the road and trim obstructive greenery by April.
The road was closed for work last Monday (January 23).
