A COMMUNITY'S help is needed to help organize a festival to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee this summer.
On the Love Lane sports field in Ongar there will be music, a range of stalls, games and a children’s fancy dress competition on the bank holiday on June 4 to mark 60 years of the Queen’s reign.
A Pims tent will provide refreshments and an antique bus will shuttle people to and from the event that will last from midday until 8pm.
However, organizers say they are still looking for the community’s support to help set up the festival and need more people to be involved on the day.
A meeting will be held in the Ongar Town Council Offices in Banson’s Way on Tuesday, March 5, at 7.30pm for those interested in taking part.
Stalls at the fair can be booked for £35 and for more information contact Sue Hayward on 01277 366511 or email sc.hayward@talktalk.net.
