CHILDREN learnt how to make masks, puppets and decorations at a day of activities to mark Lent.
Scores of families packed in to the Church of the Holy Innocents in High Beach on Saturday, February 18, to take part in the activities themed around ancient Greece and the Olympics.
Reverend Gill Hopkins said: “The church was full. There were all age groups there and everyone seemed to have a really good time.
“One of the activities involved the children making their own Olympics mascot puppets and it was great to see them able to play with them afterwards.
“There was also a raffle and we managed to raise over £500 charity and the church fund as well.”
