A Harlow college student was involved in a dramatic car chase with the police as he dashed a friend to hospital, ultimately saving his life.
The 20-year-old, who did not want to be named, was driving through Chingford on Halloween when he noticed a boy he went to school with being attacked by a large group of youths.
The following week after being told his car had been cleaned, he travelled to the impound in Charlton, only to find the seats still covered in blood.
Returning two days later, his car had still not been cleaned.
There were also blood smears on the paintwork.
The stab victim was discharged from hospital the following day.
