A police officer plans to shave her head to raise funds for three cancer charities, one of them which provides wigs to children that have suffered hair loss from treatment.
Lauren Eifert, 31, a police officer from Old Harlow, aims to raise £2,000 for prostrate cancer UK, Breast Cancer and Little Princess Trust, by shaving off her blonde hair.
It is a cause that Lauren is very close to as both her dad and aunt were diagnosed with the disease.
Lauren will be donating £350 to Little Princess Trust, an award-winning charity.
She said: "I want to raise as much awareness as possible about these cancers. If we reach over £1,500 I will be shaving my hair off at the end of December."
So far Lauren has raised £692 and had 66 donations. If you would like to sponsor her visit: www.justgiving.com/Lauren-Eifert.
