DOG owners are being encouraged to take part in a sponsored 'walkies' to raise money for a hospice.
The 5km country walk takes place on Sunday January 27 in aid of St Clare Hospice in Hastingwood Road, Hastingwood.
Participants do not have to bring a dog to take part, although there will be prize for the owner who looks most like their pet, as well as an award for 'wackiest wellies' worn.
Entry is £10 per adult, £5 per child or £27.50 for a family of two adults and two children.
The 'Winter Walkies' event starts at the hospice at 10.30am.
