A HAIR salon's annual raffle has given hospice funds a £400 Christmas boost.
Staff at Geraldine's Hair Salon in The Broadway, Debden, staged the draw in aid of the St Clare Hospice in Hastingwood.
Former St Clare trustee John Scott picked the winning tickets, with more than 100 prizes up for grabs.
The hospice's community fundraiser Camilla Wood was also on hand to present salon owner Geraldine Wilson with a certificate to honour her fundraising efforts - which have seen her raise more than £7,600 in the past decade.
Geraldine, who has run the business for 30 years, was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the Queen's birthday honours list this year.
She was nominated by other Debden traders for her tireless work to raise funds for local and national causes.
