A ROADSHOW has been giving residents a flavour of the Olympic Games.
The Get Set London roadshow visited Beresford Square, Woolwich, on February 23 and Downham Health and Leisure Centre, Moorside Road, Downham, on February 24, as part of its tour of the capital.
It was run in conjunction with London 2012 and the London Development Agency, the Mayor of London's agency for driving the capital's economy.
The roadshow provided information on the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, including the jobs it will bring.
Visitors could also try out sports equipment including Batak, a piece of equipment which tests people's hand-to-eye co-ordination.
Around 1,000 people attended each of the roadshows.

Mayor of Greenwich Councillor Sajid Jawaid said: "It was a wonderful way to bring to life the diverse range of positive opportunities and benefits the Games will bring to London and the residents of Greenwich."
