The introduction of the mini Holland trial in Walthamstow provokes pressing questions.

First, is the consultation being done by council staff or outsourced? If the latter, what is the cost, and will it come out of the £30m provided fund?

To be effective, the consultation should leaflet well in advance in all the roads directly or indirectly affected, so they may comment before, during and/or after the experimental period.

Will the plan makers visit all roads affected by the intended changes and consult with ward councillors, who have an in-depth knowledge of both their localities and their residents views, prior to any final plans being drawn up?

What is the breakdown of costs for the various areas of the borough chosen to be part of the overall scheme, and how many contractors will be quoting for the work?

If one of the aims is to improve air quality and less pollution, who is responsible for measuring change, and what methods will they use?

So far the council has been quiet about such matters. It is time for some answers!
