Rita Chadha is the chief executive officer of Redbridge-based RAMFEL -the refugee and migrant forum of Essex and London.
She is speaking out on what she sees as the UK media's anti-immigration stance and the difference between an asylum seeker, migrant and refugee.
RAMFEL pilots unique projects in the area and offers a broad based approach to assisting people from a huge variety of areas and backgrounds.
Its frontline work provides specialist advice services with staff and volunteers meeting face-to-face with over 100 people every week.
