On Monday, July 8, Crofton Evening Townwomen's Guild celebrated its 45th birthday with a party.
Chairman Mrs Newman welcomed guests from other guilds and also federation chairman Sheila Rawlins.
The birthday evening was cool and showery but everyone enjoyed the food, raffle, tombola and games.
Mrs Rawlins cut the cake, which was made by guild secretary Audrey Dalton and wished members a happy birthday and a successful year.
The next guild meeting will be on September 9 at the small Crofton Hall, next to Orpington Station, at 8pm.
The Guild is small, but very friendly, and visitors are most welcome.
