IN the fourth of his weekly hints on improving your tennis skills, Amida racquets manager John Bruning focuses on three types of shot.
He said: "Attacking shots should be hit hard, low and often over the net.
"For building shots, you should hit the ball cross-court, deep, and at good height over the net.
"For defending shots, hit the ball high over the net, aim deep and for the middle of the court.
"Practice by calling out loud, before you hit the ball, what you are trying to do with the ball (attack/ build/defend) and try to execute that shot."
