ONE of the more exciting additions to the City squad over the summer is the aquisition of Beckett Hollenbach, who has has travelled from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean in his bid to realise his dream of becoming a professional footballer.
"I came to Britain earlier in the year to try and find a club but because of the financial situation it made it really difficult," said the Philadelphia-born player, who did have a trial with Bury before heading back to the States.
"I'm really excited about Saturday and playing in my first competitive English match. Hopefully I'll do well with St Albans and eventually play league football."
Hollenbach played for the University of Maryland in the United States before coming to Britain although the left-sided player is likely to find a rain-drenched Earlsmead a slightly different proposition from a balmy night in Baltimore.
