EALING slipped back to third place in the Middlesex County Cricket League Division One with a five-wicket defeat at the hands of Finchley on Saturday.
Ealing batted first and made a respectable 202 all out in 59 overs, Manraj Ahluwalia scoring 51 but Sarel Cilliers taking 7-72 to have the major influence on affairs.
Finchley got in with five wickets in hand at 205-5 in 53.3 overs, Keerthi Ranasinghe leading the chase with 65.
They took ten points and Ealing nothing at all.
Moving into Division Three, Old Actonians are still looking for their first win of the season, taking only their sixth point of the season from the wrong end of the draw against the team immediately above them, Kenton.
Kenton scored 205 after winning the toss and opting to bat, while Actonians were some way short when stumps were drawn with their last pair together, the score 176-9 and David Mahoney their saviour with an undefeated 63. David Sweeney claimed 5-72 for Kenton.
