LONDON SCOTTISH 54 HARPENDEN O

The Scottish Rugby Union president, Alan Hosie, was on hand to witness London Scottish wallop Harpenden and with rivals Ruislip and Fullerians slipping up, they are well placed at the top, two points clear of second placed Ealing.

It was not long before Scots were into their stride as Gregor Lawson scored a fine try after some great work by Rob Rawiri. Ed Gardner completed the conversion.

Next on the score sheet was Mike Fraser with Gardner again added the two points.

Scots were full of running and Mike Fraser went over and with the conversion the score at half-time score was 21-0.

It was the same pattern in the second half starting with a try from James Session-Hodges and then Gardner to take the score to 35 - 0 and it was all one way traffic when Mike Fraser completed his hat-trick. Coach Kevin Powderly then substituted Fraser with Mark Tweedie and with his first touch of the ball scored a searing try.

The half century came when Luke Stack touched down after Gregor Lawson and Mark Tweedie worked the opening. The Scots play in the Middlesex Cup this Saturday against Upper Clapton (2.15pm).
