February 19, 2001 15:09: SENIOR rotarians from Gravesend were presented with awards at a recent meeting.
Rotarians from clubs throughout Gravesend, Northfleet and the Medway towns gathered at the Masonic Hall in Wrotham Road, Gravesend, to see past presidents Tony Martin, John Rutherford and Bob Denby receive their Paul Harris Fellowships.
All three men from Gravesend Rotary Club have worked in the town for many years and are well known for their charity work.
The fellowships are named after Paul Harris, who founded the Rotary movement in 1905, and are awarded for outstanding service to the international and local community.
