February 20, 2001 10:33: A CHARITY is desperately looking for volunteers in Gravesend to come forward and look after children from the Ukranian town of Chernobyl.
Julian and Stephanie Jones, who live in Read Way, Gravesend, are looking for host families for children who need a holiday in England to improve their health and boost their immune system after the 1986 accident at the reactor plant. The charity, Concern for Chernobyl is struggling to find hosts for this year. Anyone who is interested can call 01474 567429.
