Merstham 0 Bedfont 1
Merstham's last home game sums up much of their season. They lost 1-0 to Bedfont in a game which they could have won.
On another blustery Saturday afternoon, Bedfont started the brightest with some early pressure on Merstham's goal but without really threatening.
On 25 minutes Bedfont scored the only goal of the game and it was a frustratingly simple one. A simple cross into the Merstham goal area was met unchallenged by a Bedfont forward who guided it in.
For the first 20 minutes of the second half, Bedfont forced a further couple of great saves from McBride. The last 25 minutes of the game however, saw Merstham earn a handful of scoring chances. The visitors finished with a 1-0 win in a game which could have ended 4-3 to Merstham, were it not for McBride and missed chances.
