A man arrested yesterday, in connection with the murder of American artist Margaret Muller, has been released on bail.

The man, an 18-year-old who lives in the E14 postal area, was questioned by police at an East London police station after being taken into custody early yesterday.

He has been told to return to an East London police station on June 1, as the investigation into the murder continues.

Margaret Muller was stabbed to death while jogging in Victoria Park, Hackney, when the park was busy with people on their way to work and exercising on the morning of Monday 3 February.

Two men have previously been arrested and bailed in the course of the investigation.

Ms Muller was buried in the state of Virginia, USA, in March this year.
