Did I not read some time ago that something was going to be done about the Welling Corner/Upper Wickham Lane no right turn one way system?
I've never met anyone who is happy or can see the sense of this system. Drivers dislike it because traffic wanting to go right is forced to join traffic going left towards Bexleyheath, causing congestion behind the Co-op when rejoining the High Street and causing more traffic down the already congested High Street.
If they must have a one-way system, why not no left turn? Then at least traffic would flow in the right direction.
The present system creates traffic congestion, danger to pedestrians and occasionally dangerous driving and U-turns in Upper Wickham Lane is not uncommon.
