Auditions for a stage production of Amy's View will be held at the Wickham Theatre Centre later this month.

The play, by David Hare, is a funny and fast-moving tale of love, death and theatre set in 1979.

Wickham Theatre Trust director Jon Clark plans to revive this classic tale for south east Londoners.

The plot revolves around Esme Allen, a well-known West End actress, and her daughter, Amy. Work starts to dry up for Esme and the arrival on the scene of Amy's unusual boyfriend adds to the headache for the family.

The play was last performed at the Royal National Theatre and starred Judi Dench and Samantha Bond.

- For details and copy of script call Jon Clark on 020 8778 0037. Auditions are on Oct 28, 30 & Nov 1, 8pm, Wickham Theatre Centre, Corkscrew Hill, West Wickham. Play performed from Feb 24 to Mar 1.
