A comedy entitled Lucky Stiff will be performed at the Barn Theatre, in Rose Bruford College, Sidcup, from today.
Produced by a team of Rose Bruford students, the plot is simple, silly and great fun.
Bookish Harry Witherspoon needs some excitement in his life but doesn't have the nerve.
His great opportunity arrives in the form of a telegram from his uncle's attorney.
Uncle Tony has been killed and Harry will inherit $6 million if he can fulfil the obligations of the will.
Harry agrees to try and soon finds out he is committed to taking his uncle's corpse to Monte Carlo for a "final" holiday.
There are all kinds of comic complications, including the appearance of a woman from a a dog shelter which will get the $6 million if Harry fails. The arrival of Uncle Tony's girlfriend, who also wants the money, kicks the plot, and the comedy, into high gear.
- Lucky Stiff, Barn Theatre, Rose Bruford College, Burnt Oak Lane, Sidcup, Oct 2-5 then Oct 9-12, 7.30pm, £6/£4 conc, 07786 617891.
