CUMBRIA Trading Standards officers haveissued a warning about a letter promising the recipient money left in awill.
The letter is usually addressed to people with thesurname `Adams' and tells the recipient to telephone 09065 571 234 to findout more about their legacy.
But the number costs £1 a minutefor a recorded message, likely to last three minutes.
Atleast 12 people in Cumbria have received the letter, from a firm in Essex,headed `Last Will and Testament'.
Anyone receiving the lettershould contact their local Trading Standards office on01539-773577.
