AN ILLUSTRATED map celebrating the Millenniumwill soon be on sale in an Eden community.
Detailed drawingsof local wildlife, history and landmarks adorn the map, which has beenproduced specially for Ravenstonedale and Newbiggin-on-LuneParish.
Parishioners sent in more than 190 illustrations to beincluded in the plan and three artists spent around 1,000 hours workingsome of the drawings into the final design.
Because villagersprovided so much information about the locality, a separate booklet hasbeen put together containing all the additional information that could notbe incorporated into the final design.
The map and bookletwill be launched at a history day at the High Chapel on Thursday,September 6, from 2pm to 4pm, and 7pm to 9pm.
