AN Ulverston pub which is pulling pintsagain for the first time in more than three years, is packing people inafter only a week.
The landlady of the The Grapes in MarketStreet in Ulverston, Anne Nelson, has also taken over the licence of theOld Farmhouse in Priory Road.
After a complete refurbishment,the pub opened for business for the first time in more than threeyears.
Following a busy Bank Holiday weekend, Mrs Nelson saidthe pub, owned by the Manchester-based company, In Partnership, was goingto do well.
Mrs Nelson said: "The first week has gone reallywell and it seems to be starting to calm down a little now, but it isalways quiet after Bank Holiday.
We have had lots of people inand many of them said that they enjoyed their meal, liked the place andwould be coming back.
We just hope it continues to dowell."
Mrs Nelson plans to build a small play area in thegrounds of the pub next year if business continues to dowell.
