NEW planning guidelines for Greenhithe have been brought in prior to a final decision on a planning application to develop Bendigo Wharf.
The new guidelines were drawn up after a public consultation and set out measures to protect the conservation area. They were approved at a Dartford Council meeting.
Any future development must include a riverside path, cycle routes and the renovation of Neptune Cottages and the Village Hall using traditional materials.
Vehicle access should be via Pier Road. Any new buildings should similar in height and design to existing ones.
A planning application for two pairs of semi-detached and one detached property, on Bendigo Wharf, has been re-submitted to Dartford Council after it was rejected earlier this year.
