AMAN who was threatening to jump from the roof of the Sawyer's Arms inKendal yesterday (Thursday) was persuaded to come down by policeofficers.
The 31-year-old Londoner was given a medicalcheck-up at Kendal Police Station before being allowed toleave.
Police spokesman Mike Smith said: "Thanks to theexperience of the officers they were able to negotiate with the man andavoid a potentially tragic situation."
