A BATTLE of strength made money for charity at Biggin Hill airfield.
Thirteen teams of seven entered the airfield's second annual aeroplane-pulling contest.
The day raised £8,000 for Dreams Come True charity to take six terminally-ill children from the south east to swim with dolphins in Florida.
A team called Dime Bar won a guided tour of Concorde, at Heathrow Airport. A charity barbecue, rodeo competition, bungee-running and a static aircraft display kept the 400-strong crowd entertained.
Jonathon Windover, of Goldair, said: "The spirit of the event is unique to the airfield and the response we have had from local business is incredible.
"People really dig deep to help terminally-ill children."
