March 8, 2001 14:41: THE LUCKY winner of the Glades Shopping Centre Community Safety Week competition went on a £100 shopping spree and went home with bags full of goodies.
Jacqueline Parry, from Nunhead, Peckham, had put her name into the hat at the community safety week shop, based at the Glades, early last month.
She was taking part in the successful event which offered advice to shoppers from experts in the fire service, the police and voluntary groups.
The mother of two was absolutely delighted when the Glades told her she had won £100 in gift vouchers.
She said: "I can't believe I have won. The whole event was excellent.
"I found the fire brigade's advice particularly useful on what to do in the event of discovering a fire in my home."
