June 8, 2001 10:25: AN ORPINGTON primary school has passed its Ofsted inspection with flying colours.
Tubbenden Infants' School, based in Sandy Bury, Orpington, has been designated as a beacon school by the Department for Education and Employment (DfEE).
Its previous Ofsted report said Tubbenden was a "very effective school providing good value for money". Other highlights of the report were the school's partnership with parents and an excellent learning environment.
Headteacher Joy West said: "It has been a real challenge to improve on our last Ofsted but we have, thanks to a dedicated staff and parents."
