DIG IN FOR OTHERS: Local charity Community Links Bromley, is calling on gardeners, who can spare a few hours, to lend a hand to housebound residents. As warmer weather approaches, volunteers will help those who are unable to manage their own gardens. Call 020 8315 1916.
MARTIAL ARTS CAMP: An Easter camp for children interested in martial arts will be held for eight days from next week. The Gaijin Ryu Freestyle School of Martial Arts is holding the camp at Penge East Community Centre, Station Road, from April 14 to 17 and April 22 to 25. Call 07939 958916.
JOB WELL DONE: Volunteers at one of the borough's St John Ambulance units have been praised by Bromley mayor Councillor Carole Hubbard. During a training evening at the Bromley (305) Division, Cllr Hubbard was shown new heart-starting equipment and heard about community work done by the unit.
