Two giant inflatable sculptures dominate part of the landscape on the banks of the Thames.
The 35m Blockhead and 16m Daddies Bighead, unveiled today, were commissioned by American Artist Paul McCarthy.
The largest ever inflatable sculptures, the two artworks are on display outside the Tate Modern.
Blockhead is based on the character of Pinocchio.
The fleshed coloured Daddies Bighead is based on a ketchup bottle.
A Tate Modern spokeswoman said McCarthy was one of today's most influential and groundbreaking artists, who recently showed work in New York, Los Angeles, Nice, France and Tate Liverpool.
There is an opening at the base of Blockhead leading into a cavernous hallway where visitors can purchase specially made candy, she said.
Mr McCarthy described Blockhead as "an abstract that rises up and over your head."
The works opened to the public today and are on display until October 26.
