CHILDREN were the stars of the show at a school nativity play in Sidcup.

The children at North Cray School, Bedens Road, gave their performance to a 70 parents and teachers.

The children, aged between four and nine, were in full costume, including nursery pupils dressed as stars.

According to headteacher Philip Cooper the show ran smoothly thanks to the hours of practice put in by the children.

Mr Cooper said: "It was a moving and memorable performance. The children gave their best show and really came up trumps.

"The costumes and sets were great, it was enjoyed by all."
