LOCAL campaigners for fairer world trade rules are to meet Harrow West MP Gareth Thomas on Saturday.
Mr Thomas was recently made under secretary of state at the Department for International Development and he will be asked to use his influence to help change "unfair rules causing Third World poverty".
The meeting at noon in his constituency office in Blenheim Road, North Harrow, will include representatives of the charities Cafod, Christian Aid, Oxfam, the Save the Children Fund and the World Development Movement. For further information, call Ian Pickering on 020 7676 0240 (office hours).
