December 8, 2000 12:09: A CARING copper from Gravesend has raised £3,500 for a childrens hospice in Kent. PC Ian Pennington raised £7,000 by cycling from Lands End to John OGroats in May.
Half of the money has been given to Demelza House Hospice in Sittingbourne and the other half will go towards helping the disabled grandson of a friend.
