Brent Council and Wembley police have launched the Wembley street wardens service.
The wardens will patrol the streets to increase safety in their neighbourhoods. They have undergone four weeks of training, will be uniformed and will keep in contact with the police by radio.
Councillor Lincoln Beswick, Brent Council's lead member for community consultation and public safety, said: "We believe the service will be extremely popular with local residents who will view the highly visible wardens as a welcome addition to the community."
