A man arrested at the turnstile of Watford's FA Cup match away to Sunderland two weeks ago has been charged with violent disorder in connection with clashes between fans at September's Watford and Luton Worthington Cup match.
It was alleged at Watford Magistrates Court on Tuesday, that Vincent O'Malley, 38, of Crown Rise, Garston, was seen running onto the pitch and kicking another supporter during violence at the ground in Vicarage Road, on Tuesday, September 10, last year.
Duty solicitor Mr John Fuller spoke on behalf of O' Malley because of a speech impediment, to confirm to the court the defendant's name, address, and date of birth.
O'Malley pleaded not guilty and his case was adjourned to Hemel Hempstead Magistrates Court on Monday, April 7, for committal to St Albans Crown Court along with several Watford fans who offered the same plea at a previous hearing.
There were three conditions placed on O' Malley's bail by the court. They prevent him going to any "designated" football match, any town hosting a Watford match, and from the Central and Vicarage wards between noon and 5pm for afternoon matches, and 5pm and midnight for evening games.
