Ulverston's much-used hospice has received donations totalling more than £3,000 from the Masons West
Lancashire branch.
The first donation of £2,500 to St Mary's Hospice was made by the United Grand Lodge of England.
The money was raised from the group's annual subscriptions paid by more than 380,000 members.
A second donation of £750 was also presented to the hospice from the proceeds of a boxing night organised by the Kendal Boxing Club for the province of West Lancashire Group.The Masonic Grand charity makes annual donations to all hospices in England and Wales.
This year the donations have totalled more than £ 500,000.
