Eden planners are exceeding Government targets for dealing with planning applications. From July to September, the council dealt with 82 per cent of plans. And from April to June it dealt with 85 per cent of all planning applications. The Government target is 80 per cent. For the year ending June 2002, Eden dealt with 81 per cent of plans a total of 982 decisions. That placed the district council first overall in Cumbria.
