Golden look for railway

PASSENGERS on the Docklands Light Railway will be seeing gold this year as one of the trains has been given a golden face-lift.

To mark the jubilee year, the train has been painted gold and purple.

Gold crowns are on the sliding doors and a message congratulating the Queen on her 50-year reign is also on the specially-commissioned train.

DLR was officially opened by the Queen 15 years ago.

A company spokesman said it was thought fitting the railway pay tribute to the Golden Jubilee in this way.
