The new Mayor of Bexley was inaugurated with an historic street celebration. A parade of representatives from the armed forces reserve, the Boys' and Girls' Brigades, the Scouts and Guides and other youth movements escorted Councillor Aileen Beckwith (pictured) from the civic offices to Christ Church in Broadway. A service was held at the church to celebrate and introduce the borough's new first citizen
